For whatever reason, the dandelion post would NOT allow me to format it properly - even through multiple edit attempts. So I apologize for the lack of paragraphs and spacing. Heaven knows that I tried to make it more readable. Perhaps tomorrow it will let me reformat it on yet one more edit?

I've always written my blog posts in Word (now OpenOffice), and pasted them into Blogspot. The best way I've found to control the formatting is to make a quick stop in Notepad. I paste my text there, select it all, then copy it out again. This clears all formatting.
When I have the new message window open on my blog site, I click once in the Compose window, then select my standard font (Georgia ) and size (large). Without clicking on anything or even breathing, I press Ctrl-V to paste in the whole message. This wraps the whole message in the chosen font and size. Simple and elegant.
Since all formatting is removed, I do have to go back through and format anything with italics, list items, links and so forth, but that's pretty simple to do.
I hope this might help you overcome some frustrations.

Perfectionist that I am it is very difficult for me to be patient with such nonsense as the formatting issue. :)
